The Kempbisa Story
History
In the year 2000, 3500 Christians from Kempton Park and Tembisa came
together during a mass all-night prayer meeting to proclaim:
- God is in Kempton Park/Tembisa - we have to acknowledge and
confess this truth publicly & periodically.
- God reigns in our united city - we just have to give Him
control over our lives, businesses, city and metropolitan area.
- God wants to bless us - we need to surrender to Him in order
for us to be where He is.
- The city’s Christians intensely desire transformation as they
continue to pray for:
Revival in our congregations, the city, Gauteng as well as
South Africa
- Intercessors were raised up who bring our city and community to
God day and night, following the example of the watchmen on the
walls of Jerusalem (Isa 62:6-7)
Presently more than 100 congregations in Kempton Park / Tembisa
are working together to see God's Kingdom come! All Bible-believing
Churches and Christian Organisations are very welcome to join
Kempbisa Christian Outreach.
Kempbisa Christian Outreach is a registered Trust
(Non-Profit) and is managed by an Executive Committee comprising
of pulpit and marketplace ministers from Kempton Park and
Tembisa.
Vision
KEMPBISA CHRISTIAN OUTREACH is a Faith Based
Organization (022-235-NPO) consisting of a large number of Bible
believing churches and organizations that are taking hands
to exalt GOD in our city, Kempton Park & Tembisa, through
the unified BODY of CHRIST.
Our vision is an united city, where churches and
ministries work alongside each other to the benefit of
Christ, His Body and His chlidren.
Mission
KEMPBISA CHRISTIAN OUTREACH promotes Church unity in every
way possible and works towards transforming Kempton Park and
Tembisa to cities where everyone is subjected to the Gospel of
Jesus Christ of Nazareth, and has a chance to make an informed
decision.
Strategy
Kempbisa Christian Outreach serves the Body of Christ by
providing the means and infrastructure to exalt God Almighty
by getting the Body as a whole to pray more, to fellowship
more, to praise and worship more. Kempbisa facilitates
improved networking and personal contact amongst Christians
from all denominations, by acting as a launching pad for
interdenominational projects and events.
